Interior lights question

Featured Replies

Hello. I have an octavia elegance. With reference to the 2 interior lights near the dashboard. When I open the door only 1 of the lights comes on and off. Are they both meant to come on? The one that doesn't come on will operate manually just not when the door is opened. Can someone please let me know if this is normal. Thanks :-)

Yes they're both meant to come on.

Just had a fiddle and the one light switch contact is dodgy. If I press it comes on sometimes but flickers. Oh well will let the dealer know tomorrow.

Does anyone know if it's easy for to check the switch and bulb. Is it a sealed unit?

Dealer replaced the whole unit with one out of another car last weekend. Out of curiosity Does anyone know what else is in the unit besides the lights. Are alarm sensors or GPS or anything in there?

Hopefully my alarm still works then since they have swapped it over.

I had an issue where the lights wouldn't work when the vehicle was in motion. Turns out a wire was bent and a new one has been ordered from the factory! Car goes in next week.
