Today I took my Octy for a quick drive and after some harsh cornering the suspension dropped, what could it be? The car sits lower on its back left wheel :( what could it be? Can I drive for a while with this problem?

Possibly back spring snapped??

I'm thinking that the spring's broken too.

 

You might get away with driving gently on good roads. You will need to replace both rear springs.

I have limited experience of Skodas but have owned various VW Group products over the years and have never had one where a spring didn't break. They seem particularly brittle, somehow.

Thanks guys ! I was recently thinking about replacing my suspension with coil overs, what are the benefits ? How much of an investment is it ?

Coilovers usally give you higher spring and damper rates, so you'll get better cornering, but a harsher ride. Also, you'll be able to adjust the ride height (at least if the spring perches don't sieze up).

what company would you guys recommend ? So that the total sum does not exceed lets say 1000 quid?

I bought VMAXX ones, regretted it and changed for a set of KW V3s - one extreme to the other

The V3s are excellent but given that I never adjust them, V1s would probably have been sufficient.
Weitec get good reviews and are made by KW, very similar to the V1 apparently.

 

You do get what you pay for with coilovers

If you have a grand to play with then it is a no brainer. KW V1's.

How would a kit for the whole suspension look like? what is list of parts needed? Possibly a screen shot of your cart. 

 

Im not lazy, its just that to get the parts here in Poland I must make an order back home so time is of the essence.
