I'm intrigued, Chris...

Is that drive where you actually do the work?

Seems rather tight to me and if it is...you must have a mighty drain at the bottom!

If it is...I'm even more impressed at the results you get.

Regards

Mike.

Contacted by Simbo's brother a couple of weeks ago to see if I could polish his newly acquired MX-5 Eunos Roadster

This car is 20 years old and had been very badly resprayed by the previous owner..

Worst spray job Ive ever seen!!

However...I set about the challenge and armed with my DA and Rotary shod with finishing pads and the use of some 'Farecla' G3 Finishing polish after a good wash....... began trying to correct the paintwork

Jap paint is very very soft and this hadn't been lacquered either!! My pads are now red!!

All in all..I was fairly satisfied that I had done the best I could

Simeon turned up too in his nicely cleaned Superb..he really has learnt a lot from Alan after the epic clean a couple of weeks ago!!

Thanks too Simeon for activating some VCDS stuff!!

Here are the finished pics:

Thanks Wayne

Wow that foam is thick. Which one is it?

Alan uses Valet Pro pH Neutral Snow Foam

1" to 1 litre of water is all I use

Overly thick snow foam often doesn't clean as well

Fine balance getting enough cling but you need an adequately 'wet' foam to clean.

This doesn't just apply to cleaning cars, in a past life I worked for Nilfisk for several years (who don't just make pressure washers which actually come from Alto). Too much chemical is detrimental.

P.S not saying this is the case with Alan's foam, just a point worth making

Those cars look ace Chris. Brilliant job. Is it ok to use sonax npt on the alloys applied with a microfibre and then bsd on top. Or would you just use bsd? Might get some of that ceramic sealer you use later on but want to use what I gave for now.
