Hi,

New forum user.

Going to pick up a 2003 1.9tdi ambiante octavia estate tomorrow (so the 90bhp engine variant I believe). 200k miles and needs a little work, but nothing major.

I've had a skoda before, an 05 fabia 1.4tdi, ridiculously good on fuel, and didn't depreciate much.

Had a mk 4 golf gti 1.8 20vt before, great car, depreciated loads and sucked on fuel consumption on short journeys which I mostly did.

had some boring french cars, old bmw, old merc, stuff of no relevance to vag.

Ermm can do most things on a car, only thing I haven't done is anything regarding timing chains/belts ( well I did one a friends s13 200sx, but it had no front end so was a doddle). and never done a full engine rebuild.

Live in Wiltshire. Ermm so yea, Hi :)
