Chrome grill suround

Featured Replies

Hey chaps

I painted my grill the other day two coats of primer two coats of Matt black and it's full of stone chips already any suggestions on what to use or maybe wrap it instead ?

Cheers john

I'd probably say wrap or plastidip. I wrapped mine and have had no probs

I used halfords vinyl spray thats sort of a cheaper version of plastidip and its worked for me no stone chips yet 3 weeks on

Black vinyl wrap from B&Q bout £8 a roll.

Plastidipped mine ages ago and it's only got a couple tiny little chips in it

I would think 2 pack basecoat and lacquer would be ok. As resilient as the rest of your bodywork anyway. Just done mine and need to see how it lasts.

Is this stuff removable? I had a look at it and it said it gave a permanent black finish so i decided against it.

If it is like plastidip i will have to pay a visit to my old colleagues and get some use out of my discount!

Part number for mk2 fabia badge 5J0853621A fits front and back.
