Octavia vRS mk1 bits: Neuspeed lower TIP, standard manifolds, CAT, etc.

Featured Replies

Clearout time! Bits were removed from my 04 plate vRS with 106k miles on the clock, with the exception of the hub caps.

A Neuspeed lower turbo intake pipe. Didn't even know that it was on the car and might have explained a few things! Very expensive brand new. Not as good as a full silicone intake pipe, but not a bad mod for the money and effort. Here's a link to it Awesome GTi: http://www.awesomegti.com/neuspeed-turbo-intake-pipe-1-8t The standard rubber section is included BUT it is split at the recirculation valve port. I can bin it if you prefer for possible cheaper postage. Just swap your existing rubber part onto it. £50

Standard actuator and bracket. I don't know what the crack pressure is, but it held standard boost at 0.6 bar absolutely fine and will be OK for up to a stage 1 map. Or buy, junk the actuator, drill the bracket and fit a stiffer actuator from BBT, Turbo Technics etc. £25

Standard CAT and downpipe. Unmodified as far as I can tell, no leaks, passed MOT fine in May and both lambda ports are fine. £50

Two standard AUQ (and others) exhaust manifolds on BOGOF! One came with my car but has the most minute crack, ideal to use as porting and flowing practice, in case you go through the metal. The other one is the one from my car, removed in May during a bout of upgrades. I can't see any damage at all in my eyes. Replaced with a brand new manifold that a friend gasket-matched, ported the head side and I did the work to the collector myself. The top one is the spare that came with my car and the bottom one is the actual one from my car. I Scotchbrited the turbo mating face to inspect for cracks. The other two photos show the crack in the spare manifold. I'm not entirely conviced it is actually a crack to be honest! It might just be a surface mark, but I didn't want to take any chances as I had a new manifold to slap on anyway. £50

Standard side mount intercooler, complete with MAP sensor and the plastic air shroud/scoop thing which is undamaged. Supplied by the previous owner with my car as he fitted a THS FMIC, but I've no reason not to believe that it still works fine. £40

Set of 16" chrome hub cap things. Came with a set of steelies but I'm just going to run them as they are over the winter. Pretty decent condition but with scrapes here and there. Good for frisbee'ing?! £15
