Acccident repair cost

Featured Replies

The wife just had a coming together with a pillar in a multi-storey. Can anyone give a rough idea of cost to repair from the attached picture? It's on the rear arch just in front of the wheel, right on the clear plastic protector.

Also any recommendations for a good repair centre on the surey/hants/berks border are, I'm based in Fleet.

Thanks

Nothing is cheap these days Steve, brace yourself and grit your teeth, for the total charges impact.

Looks like a new wing to me

Doubt it needs a new wing, only lightly pushed in.

It's right on the crease

Had one very similar to yours on our 1st Yeti, it was filled and along with a new bumper and light cluster it cost just over £800 .

This was done by a Skoda a approved body shop.

looks like the film took all but all of the damage,

cost should be minimal if that is the case

Much lighter damage to my wifes fabia cost nearly a grand, as the structure underneath had deformed with the rear wing.

Nearly wrote the car off as it is 53 reg.

From the picture and the description it looks like the damage is on a rear door. I doubt that it will need a new door but still likely to Coast a couple of hundred quit to repair.

Might not look half as bad if you pull the film off and replace it.

Just to give you an idea:

I recently had to have a door filled and resprayed on my Focus, as I had a long scratch from top to bottom which was also dented (dent went across a crease too).

The painted plastic sidestrip was also damaged - they filled that and painted it too.

Local bodyshop did it for less than £200.

Luckily the colour match was spot on and they didn't need to blend any neighbouring panels.
