Finally got confirmation of my Octavia vRS!

My name is Richard and I am a displaced Yorkshireman living in the 'garden county' of Wicklow in Ireland.

It's been a long wait, but I finally had an email through from my dealer that my red Octavia vRS has been built and has completed all quality checks. Ready to ship - woohoo!

It was ordered in the middle of February 2014 but the manufacturing times kept getting longer and longer, from a quoted 12 weeks to (after a few frantic emails) a scarcely believable 6 MONTHS...

It looks like it will be here for the 1st week in July (just 19 weeks from ordering - but who is counting?) So I am dearly looking forward to becoming a more active member of this community.

I have a red diesel vRS with black pack, black Gemini alloys and the Canton Sound System (plus other odds and ends)

 

Looking forward to chatting with the group.

Hi. Just waiting for the transport to be organised from the plant to Ireland. Apparently 'normally 2 to 3 weeks' - We have a new '142' plate starting in July, so a lot of cars are currently being shipped here. 

I have just gone for the Corrado red - the other one appeared to be a little orange. I have had far too many silver cars...
