From the giffgaff site http://giffgaff.com/unlock/virgin-mobile-reviews

Had a quick read, Virgin should unlock it for a small admin charge.

There are lots of shops in Bradford that will unlock it for a fiver Andy

It will cost you £21 for orange to unlock your iPhone just fill in the form and sit back and wait here's the link

Yup, won't cost anywhere near £95!

As above, who gave you that figure?

My wife and I are both using out of contract Orange/ee iPhone 4S phones on the virgin network.

Virgin use the orange and t mobile cellular system and you do not need to get your locked orange ee phone unlocked for the virgin sim to work.

Auric- ify you're looking at PAYG, why not look at 3 on a 3/2/1 deal . But , you'll possibly find many places unlocking for a lot less. Sometimes it pays to look on net for unlock ideas.

Why don't you just call the operator it is locked too for an unlock code?

I have heard they have to give these out for free now when requested.

3 unlocked my iPhone 4S and my wife's for free just before the end of 2 year contracts.
