Is this microswitch ok to use to diy my current mechanism?

I have the common problems where light dunt come on, buzzer dunt sound when lights left on with door open and the car locks itself even with drivers door is open.

Well My mate that works at maplins said it should be fine so got him to bring me 1 homr and for £2.09 worth a try like .

I work at Maplin too, and that one isn't really ideal as it isn't waterproof. The original one has a rubber seal around the switch plunger.

To be fair it will probably last quite a while anyway :-)
