Farewell, so long, auf wiedersehen, goodbye

Featured Replies

After 18 months of ownership the time has come to wave goodbye to the little red skoda. and say hello to some german metal.

Although, looking back over my car history it is no surprise the draw of the rear axle has got me again. I started with a rover 216 gti, followed by a celica GT4. I progressed to a skyline GTR, hence the avatar, and quickly through a merc CLK and BMW 330 to a mazda RX8.

With a change in job and many hundreds of miles a week, the rex had to go and I needed something sensible with satnav and space for four adults. The skoda was top of the availability list, and I do have a soft spot for the marque, my dad has had skodas for as long as I can remember.

So now, I have a 520d M Sport sat on the drive, so far so good. Nice and moody, and so very german.

ps. keep an eye on ebay in the coming week or two, I have a few bits from skoda ownership to move on.

I had a GT4 too, back in the day!  '96 ST205.  Loved it.

Enjoy the bimmer!
