vRS buils quality issues

Featured Replies

I have had my vRS for 6 weeks now and I am starting to get some build quality issues.

The car arrived from the factory with one of the door sill protectors missing which was quickly replaced by the dealer it then got me thinking what else may be wrong so I have had a good look around and have found the following faults which are going to be put right tomorrow.

1. Hissing noise from the rear end probably the fuel pump a problem known about I believe.

2. The centre dash speaker grill dose not line up properly with the rest of the dash .

3. The rear window lock switch had broken after first use.

4. The passenger side window rubber is not  fitted correctly and the window has pinched it .

5. The rear high level brake light has come away from the rear window.

6.  On the dash where the passenger airbag is there are a couple of marks that are visible in sunlight but not sure if this is just how it is.

They are small problems but after a 6 month wait and the cost of the vRS they should really get it right first time.

Sounds like you were sold a lemon.

Matt,

I had two of the "issues" you listed.

4. Window rubber not fitted correctly - was like this on my drivers side. I fixed this myself and the mark in the rubber has faded.

6. Two visible (barely) marks on dash from passenger airbag. Wondered if this was an issue or just as it's meant to be, as yours has it I'm now sure it's fine.
