My fabia vrs it keeps blowing fuse 45 :-( is there a reason or just a dodgy headunit as it was working for ten mins or so went to remove it it sparked blew a 5amp fuse and a 20 replaced the 5 and every time I put a new 20 in it instantly blows ?

As an electrician once said "are you putting in a bigger fuse just to get a bigger bang out of it?". There's something buggered in the wiring. Trace that and sort it out beforehand using a multimeter or testing lamp. Don't continue putting much bigger fuses in. It was meant to be a 5 for a reason.

 

Is there anyone with some experience you can use for a 2nd opiniion or sounding board. 2 heads can be better than 1.

Keep putting bigger fuses in and it will catch fire eventually.

Something is probably shorting somewhere if it goes as soon as you plug it. What else uses thy fuse?

Disconnect the headunit. See if fuse still pops

Think a few have mis understood a 5 and a 20 amp kept blowing 5 is fine 20 keeps blowing :-( have taken headunit out swapped fuses put it back in an voila it works a treat think it was the headunit just arcing out on a untapped wire :-)
