Notice the other day when washing the car that the nearside disc had two scores around it. I never heard any noise from this happening, no sqeeling or such. Anyone noticed similar or point to the cause?

Probably caused by a stone. Just leave it.

Had a number of issues with the last Yeti and the rear brakes. Came to the conclusion it was a poorly designed calliper which appeared to all to readily seize up.

Its easy to remove caliper, & pads.

Check the pad in question & if nes' remove the cause, ie, rub pad surface on a flat bench with emery cloth.

Refit.

Simples.

 

Ps. Age of car & mileage.

Maybe whip the wheel off tomorrow and check the pads.

If they're no longer doing damage I wouldn't spend the time 'til pad change due.
