Time for new seats

Featured Replies

Thinking of changing the front seats in my octavia combi, fed up of falling out of the original ones. I have read on the form that mk 4 golf seats fit.Thinking of going for gti seats. (cloth type) Is the golf ones a direct fit (All line up perfect). Does it matter if i go for 3 or 5 door? Any suggestions/photos welcome.

Correct MK4 Golf seats fit straight in, if you have airbags in the seats then the plugs may well be different though (swap them over).

Obviously 3 door seats will tip forwards, but they still fit.

I've got some leather Golf 'sport' type seats that were in my Octavia for sale if you're interested?

Much better than the standard Elegance spec seats.

I have leather Recaros from  Golf Mk4 VR6.

They look very similar to the ones above. Nice and comfy.

No air bags, Might go for some 3 door seats seeing that they fit. Handy tipping forward.

Had the cloth type in mind. But they do look the part when fitted. Based in Ireland.  Thanks for the reply.

Might go down the road of leather ones. They look a good job fitted. Does the back seat fold as it did with the original seats?

I've got some cloth A3 seats for sale in the FS section, really supportive round corners, electric lumbar adjust  depends where you are in the UK for collection though. Looking for £40 collected. heres a link to my thread http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/292819-chrisw4266-silver-vrs-in-east-yorks/page-4

That's the type of job I had in mind. Based in Ireland, only for that I would have a look at them. What year/spec of A3 did you get them from?

Yes. Everything uses the same connectors too. Only difference is that you get a lap belt in the centre because of the fold-down armrest. Make sure you get that belt with the seats as it bolts on separately.
