Interchangability between MK1 and MK2 vRS

Featured Replies

hey guys,

Ive noticed everything is very cheap for the mk1 and its got me thinking.

curious, as far as im aware they share the same chassis?

if this is true, what suspension parts are interchangeable between the two cars?

springs

dampers

coilovers

ARBs

some compatibility NOT all....

ARB by whiteline for mark I wont fit mark II it fouls the exhaust... H&R will fit both.

poly bushes : are different even between mark II models as the changed the suspension on the CTHE update!

springs dampers ect wil probably fit, but there will be different weights involved ect ... I'd stick to the list, a guy tried the sallon springs (mark II) for his vRS estate as they lower the rear more than the estate springs, he said it messed up the handling! (rear springs on estate need to be different sprin rates than saloon!

its a bit of a quandry!

Dampers will categorically not fit any Mk 1 Fabia's or early mk2's they have different connections to the chassis.

One is a three point connection (old) and the other is a single point connection through the top mount
