Embellished injury compensation claims to be withheld

Featured Replies

+1, after my rear end on the M27 last year, I dealt with my insurer at the time who made a big deal about whiplash even though I stated I didn't have whiplash. I received several calls asking me if this was still the case. A clampdown is overdue.

So true it's about time, when that guy knocked the side of my car at about 5 miles an hour I had companies ringing for months begging me to make a claim.

Not sure if it is still standard practise but it used to be the case that in the event of a claim, the insurers would make the details of those available for the ambulance chasers to follow up.

I do remember getting a few emails/calls about it after my car being the middle of a car van sandwich.

A welcome change indeed.

Way way overdue but at least it's something. I see a lot of claims, via my firm, and the crap that is pulled is seriously unbelievable.
