smoking like mad after pcv delete?!

Featured Replies

Hi, new to the forum as only had car two weeks!

Loving the car but had issues under boost with oil leaking from under manifold, thought I'd just do the pcv delete to simplify and cure!

Followed this guide http://uk-mkivs.net/topic/17685-18t-pcv-simplification-and-catch-can-installation/ but now when I start it smokes like hell!

have disconnected the catch can and vented to air to test that but same result?

when I take off the oil cap when running it bounces around all over the place due to pressure coming out, pointing towards blocked breather but there are none!

any ideas would be most helpful!!

Put it back to standard. It's usually a split S pipe under the manifold that causes the oil splatter issue, which is a cheap easy fix.
