Any info or links to dibiilas cam kit?

I emailed Darkaide questioning their cam kit and the reply was that if you're not at 260bhp or more it will not make a difference

Strange they say it's pointless under 260bhp.

I thought it would be good for any spec really...

My friends piper fast road cam is amazing, well worth having :)

and that's on a PD?

WHERE FROM?

i had stage 2 cams on my previous car, celica t sport... be prepared for lumpy idle and a burble from the exhaust kinda like its misfiring lol

although mid range was much improved there is pros and cons to be considered, i would advise against it if its a daily runner

This thread is deteriorating into dribbling idiocy, time to put things straight.

Camshaft 'wisdom' from N/A is NOT applicable to turbo engines and REALLY NOT applicable to turbo diesel engines.

'Stage 2' indeed, what a load of rubbish, what does it even mean? Marketing drivel is all it is.

PD performance cams focus on valve lift and the critical timing relationship between the valvegear and the unit injectors, not so much on duration and certainly not on overlap!

Gone are the days when you could just slap a cam in a Pinto and see a big leap in performance, modern engines just don't work that way, most of the performance cam upgrades I see are custom ordered from proper companies like Catcams to suit a particular set of multiple modifications. A cam change should only be considered as part of a comprehensive package of upgrades where the standard cam starts to hold engine performance back, on a PD this is about 260 BHP which is what dbilas are trying to say.

and that's on a PD?

Indeed :)

WHERE FROM?

He got it directly from piper, but they don't advertise it on their site.
