1.8T engine - 20,000 mile service?!

Hello fellow Octavians...

Could any of you shed some light on this please... I have tried the search engine and phoned around four dealers and im still none the wiser. :(

What does a 20,000 miles service of my 2002 1.8T Octavia actually consist of and how much should I be looking to pay? I thought it was simply an oil and filter change as well as a general look over and adjust service ie an interim/minor service? Transcity of Walthamstow however say it will be

Though I am now a "new octavia", I had a vRS 2003 model for 20 months from new, only 12000 miles by then, but at the 12 month [main dealer] service it seemed to me it just had a very expensive oil change

20k service consists of oil and oil filter and the pollon filter.

These are replaced every 20k.

40k is oil , air , fuel and pollon.Spark plugs for the petrols.

But every 10,30,50,70 etc are oil filter replacements.

You can have a garage service your car that is not a dealer.

This can be a bit cheaper than dealers.

We do servicing and as part of the service check we put on the diagnostics to check them out.

Use genuie parts.

As for the oil we use fully synthetic oil.Just dont go for the full out one at
