Coilovers what ones?

Featured Replies

Hi all

Im looking to get a set of coilovers but there is too many to choose from I'm not to worried about lowering the car I have a sound system going in my boot an just wanted to be able to even up the weight that I'll be adding an then lower the front am I thinking along the right lines of this bein all ok with coilovers??

I would also just like to stiffen things up a bit when I brake stop the nose diving an accelerating lifting the nose I've got a budget of about £800 so if someone could point me in the right direction of what brand would best suit me an is there any other parts I need to buy when fitting??

Thanks in advance

Daniel

with that sort of budget I would recommend kw coilovers. I have heard good reviews and been in a couple of cars with them aswell.

nice comfortable ride not to crashy either

I put kw v1's on my octy.

Awesome coilovers

For £800 you'll be able to get the v1's but not in stainless. (Will be galvanised) Which isn't the end of the world.

I bought it direct from SFS performance think it worked out about £105 plus the jubilee clips an delivery it came to no more then £130 it makes a massive difference in size I wouldn't say performance is much better but i am on the standard map got it booked in for a remap on the 31st at AMD technik anyone got any reviews on these guys?

For £50 more I can get the stainless so I'm def gonna stretch to that :-) what's fitting like has anybody attempted fitting before? Any other parts worth renewing while I've got the car apart?? Eg: drop links?

Kw v1's are only available in stainless now the non stainless ones are now branded under the st name

KW no longer offer them in galvanised, just stainless.

As we're on the subject, whats the best for around £500?

£409 for APs. That's what I'm running after Damian sent a set to us quick smart. I'm pretty happy with them to be quite honest.

I'd agree for around the £500.00 area I'd go for the AP kit.
