DPF Differential Pressure Sensor

Featured Replies

Hi. Have seen several posts about flashing glow-plug warning light combined with exhaust control management light (that looks like an engine) pointing towards DPF Differential Pressure Sensor as the problem. A friend has plugged a Solus system on and it has mentioned that in the read out. I have bought a replacement sensor - but don't know where it goes !

It is this thing to the left of the engine cover please ? It looks the right shape (although the one I have bought seems to need a longer fixing screw as it is squared-off at the left hand end - see second pic).

Or does the sensor go somewhere else ?

Thanks

Thanks for your help - but still confused. The 059 906 051C is the part fitted on the car which I have had from new.  Local Skoda dealer says it shouldn't be that part - but should be 076 906 051B on the Skoda 1.6TDI

Two questions

1. Do they do the same job, so if I need to replace it should I just go like for like with the current one fitted

2. Is there definitely only one sensor like this on the car, and not another tucked away wherever the actual DPF is ?

In the meantime, having unplugged the one in the car and plugged it in again, the warning lights have gone out. Have I struck lucky - just a faulty connection I wonder ?

Thanks

I'd say that if your car has been fine until now with 059 906 051C and that part is still current and available, then personally I would use like for like.

Only exception would be if skoda have superseded that part and replaced it. But surely C is later than B!

Mine has the 051B and it's 2lt VRS. So i would assume a different part for a 1.6.

Stick with the original part no
