Got a fabia mk1 vrs got 180hp - 320lbft need new clutch should I stick with dmf or get smf conversion??

I would probably go for standard replacement with that level of tune.

I have a SMF conversion and the noise isn't pleasant!

I heard the valeo smf kit from eurocarparts is quiet, anyone have a video of this??

Not ver pleasant at all. Bit embarrassing when people look at the car funny.

At that level of power though it might be worth going for the better friction plate and dmf.

None are cheap though hence why people tend to do the smf from say cg :-s I personally couldnt handle the noise so just got a std sachs kit and dmf. Still solidafter 30k wwhich is more than the smf lasted lol

Geez I'm contemplating if it's worth the risk I'm only mapped to 283lb torque which I am more than happy with to be honest

My clutch is clonking around on startup so could be a bad sign

Saying that I can't comment on its reliability as I've never had the clutch from new

That clonking is probably tha bmf. Your springs are prob buggered. When it starts clonking on tickover all the time it is def time for a new one.

Mine around 190bho and 300lbft, I chose this clutch ready for more power. I like my clutch it's not a horried pedal at all

haha pick your dummy up will ya. The only thing you ever post on is when someone starts a thread about clutches or CG and you have to make a sly little dig every single time, I've never slated them once because I've never had one so can't say anything.
