Has anybody any recommendations for a alarm system for the vrs.It has one installed already but it doesnt do jack since i bought the car.Im thinking clifford but are they any other decent ones?

Clifford aren't what they use to be, Toad are very good.

Thanks for the reply. What makes you say that.I was looking at toad but my friend had a clifford on his ur quattro seemed to be good

I used to have a toad in my old clio, was a really good system apart from the auto locking. Accidentally disconnected the battery while jump starting someone, the rescuer had to have a lift home to get the spare fob lol

Do you mean the siren doesn't work? If so you can replace it, the battery is probably dead.

No, as soon as the power is reconnected it locks the central locking, was just a brief interruption which didn't even stall the car lol

Sorry my post was aimed at the OP.

Well the sensor in the left hand side has a led on it.Its never lit up since ive had it.Plus ive never had a key fob

I would get the car scanned with VCDS before you start looking at fitting a new alarm.
