how do folks, ive recently been having a little problem with my VRS ..  while driving along it seems to just shut off for about 3 seconds , as if you switched the ignition of, then fires up and returns to normal again... doesnt happen really often maybe once a week...   has anyone else had any similar issues?

You need to scan it for fault codes.

As above, scan it. I have heard of something similar being caused by a vac leak, I'd give all the pipework a check over while your waiting to get it scanned

It could be the fuel pump relay.
