VW AUDI mfd / rns Aux-IN Input Adapter for IPOD/MP3 AUX

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm looking to buy something similar to the above, so that I can connect my iPhone via aux cable to my sat nav head unit in my '05 plate Fabia

Does anyone know of anywhere I can buy one today, rather than ordering online, and also will I need specific tools to remove the head unit?

Which head-unit have you got?

The manual says it's an RNS DX unit, it was the sat nav option on the car when new

There seem to be various different options and I'm not sure which is the correct one

Anyone?

Website keeps crashing on me. I was hoping there would be a simple single lead option for not a lot of money. The previous owner had an x-carlink setup but they're around ยฃ80

If you pull out the unit there should be a blue cd changer plug. Without seeing the pinout diagram,it is hard to say but there are often three pins for an aux-in connection in that plug.

If you do pull the unit out, could you post a picture of the pinout diagram on the back of the unit?

Edit: sorry missed the last two posts. Hadnt realised it was an MFD1 so it probably does require one of the units Mannyo suggests.

Well I've bought an fm transmitter for now, I don't do huge mileage so didn't really want to spend the better part of ยฃ100 just to play music from my phone
