FMIC options for vRS with OE headlamp washers

Featured Replies

Just wondering if I can pick the collective brains of you Briskoda people about the following question.

I have a 2006 Fabia vRS with OE xenons with headlamp washers. Question is, whats the best uprated FMIC to fit the front of my car.

I thought I'd narrowed it down to pretty much the Forge FMIC, but is anyone else running the Airtec seat style cooler and retained the headlamp washers?

will have to be the forge unit, the airtec pipes go tight to the bumper where the washer should be

Cheers fella, I thought as much, pity they are so bloody expensive, when the airtec is probably as good!!

Has anyone ever tried to contact Forge to arrange a group buy at a reduced rate? Other than that you could try a Seat Sport FMIC with custom pipe work.

yup I'm running the airtec on mine and its brilliant but it won't fit with washers which is a shame but the forge unit it good too

Forge is about the only option

My 05 fabia vrs had oem xenons and the headlight washer system got binned for a seat sport fmic

Is this a standard issue with all years of MK1 Vrs with OEM Xenon's?

I have an 04 plate.

There's the under the bumper bar option. FMIC itself is cheap off eBay. Bite the bullet and replace all of the piping for around £300ish all in.

Or get the kit...

Or Allard - if you don't mind relocating the intake pipe/trumpet.

Another universal option (don't have to use Raldes, others supply similar)

Ive got headlight washers and use my own made system with an evo 7 intercooler and all my own piping. Maximum intercooler space but run the piping from turbo. To a 90 degree bend rinning behind the rad. Then into the bumper between rad and washer bottle. Through cooler then out around bottom half of bumper around corner and up into engone bay ;)

Evo cooler os massive and basicly tpuches the top and bottom pf your bumper and is wider than the grill

Anyone fitted the tx auto sport kit? Was wondering what the quality was like, it seems almost too good to be true at £250?

Quite restrictive apparently.

Quite restrictive apparently.

Thought as much. I quite like the sound of the Evo 7 one that Fletch has fitted.

I know the Forge one is specifically made for the Fabia and fitting it will be a breeze but £700+ is well overpriced IMO, I much prefer the challenge of sourcing and fitting my own.

Some decent options out there though.

I just bought a 2nd hand SS cooler then made up my own pipework :)
