Right, down to buisness. I do most of my maintance and repairs to my 53 plate sdi 1.9 estate. Fab car, with very few problems. However, the steering rack has just started to leak on the offside, and gets heavy quite a lot. However, i am trying to source a reconditioned/second hand one but there appears to be two types. The trust haines manual seems to be very vague about it all with few pics to keep with identifying the rack on the car. Short of buying both types, does anyone know an easier way to check it? Diagrams will be extremly helpful!

Ask Skoda direct, give VIN and possibly registration number should pinpoint what info you want??
