Audio Streaming

Featured Replies

Hi,I'm sure this has been discussed before but I'm unable to find On previous posts.I have a samsung galaxy s4 connected via rasp on my bolero and have two particular problems (1) when using voice activation in my phone book the voice tells me that the name list is empty but as far as I can tell all my contacts have been downloaded (2)I am unable to get audio to play via bluetooth it works ok in phone calls but when I'm connected to my sat nav on phone the audio won't come via the car speakers it only comes through the phone. Hope anyone can help

It might be an older bluetooth module which doesn't support voice control or streaming.  How old is the car/module?  If you look under the seat and report back the part number for the module (xxx 035 730 x), we may be able to advise further.

Hi adamal, the car is a skoda octavia 1.4tsi elegance DSG and it's on a 10 plate.i have looked under the drivers and passenger seat and there doesn't appear to be anything under there but I'm sure it does support voice control as for some reason it recognises one name and connects it to the phone and makes the call but when I try another name it says (name list is empty main menu) also when I go into the settings on maxi dot menu it has options to make the BT discoverable, could the module be anywhere else?

Hi again I found the module it was under the seat with a cover on it would 5NO 035 730 C be the number you want

Yes that is an older module which doesnt support streaming. It should do voice control but I dont believe the Bolero supports it.

You can get a newer 3c8 035 730 d module off eBay for around £100 and in rSap mode this also does text readout and allows a wifi hotspot for other users and choice of phone to use as a streaming device even if yours is connected as a main phone...

It will just be a straight swap, 5 minute job, although it may need a bit of vcds coding from a friendly member to get full functionality.

Ok,thanks for your help.Regarding the voice control I think it does support it as most of the functions work it's just the name list seems to be missing somehow.the phone book shows the full list of my contacts so it's baffling as to why it can't find it.

I certainly could be wrong with that one, it was just what I've read.  Hopefully someone with a Bolero can help further.
