DPF help with reading fauld with VCDS

Featured Replies

Can anyone help with VCDS scan of mu Octavia 1.6 TDI CR 2010.  The glow plug light has been flashing for a few day and now the engine management light has come on. I have read the fauld with a non - VCDS code reader and found this stored code P2454 and states  Diesel Particulate Filter Differential sensor circuit low . I guess it is one of the two sensors located above and below the DPF. I need help to sort out which one i need to change located in the Bucks/oxfordshire border.

There is only one sensor, which gets two feeds from either side of the DPF. Failure is quiet common, but you need to run through an adaption cycle after replacing the sensor. The sensor is quiet cheap but you need a dealer of VCDS to run the adaption cycle, if you start the car after replacing the sensor without running the adaption process you run the risk of the DPF clogging because the adaption cycle causes the ECU to re-learn how full the DPF really is.

The sensor is under the engine cover, located towards the rear of the engine, it has two pipes entering the bottom and an electrical connector.
