If you haven't got the auto lights sensor then you'll only manage it 'all the time' and not just when it's dark.

Hopefully someone can help out with the correct settings if you really want lights to come on during daylight though.

Also, it maybe be due to you not borrowing a legit up to date version of VCDS that some of the settings are missing? :peek:

There are some other bytes which relate to CH/LH lights. One of the settings is also backwards, you choose personalisation instead of sensor if you have a sensor.

Do you have the R/L sensor? And what MY is your car?

Are you sure you have the wire required from the headlight switch to the bcu?

There shouldn't be any missing wires, but many cars not ordered with auto lights from the factory have a wire missing.

Yes I have a r/l sensor and it's a 2009 facelift the corner lighting works

I have all the wires there and the auto lights work off in the day and on at night

If your auto lights work when you cover the sensor it could be a coding issue, have you cleared the codes in vcds?

  • Author

Yes the sensor works when I cover it and There's no codes to clear if your on about errors I did have one when I swapped the switch but I cleared that

Have you tried unticking to use fog lights and see if it works then?

Yes nothing I do have factory xenon

Double check all the bytes. As your car is newer than mine the controller is different than in my car and has more bytes, but as I said one of the coding options is backward.

Do neither CH or LH work or do LH work?

byte 17 instead of f8 put 70 (seventy)

Save the autoscan, case go wrong put back values.

What year your model

Thanks alberg you put me on the right path I just un ticked bit 7 license plate and it's started working on headlights and now fog lights I don't know if it's coz I got factory xenon and Skoda led fog light with resistance to stop the error light I was going to try led number plate light but stuff them there too much hassle.

It will work on fog lights.

I was the first to have this back long ago.

I'm sure someone else soon will come on here and indicate you. Ain't home :)
