No not a Yeti

Selling as I'm not able to get comfortable with the seating position; doesn't seem to suit my right hip, possible down to breaking that leg years back, as I've had similar trouble with it before. Wife and others can drive it no problem but she doesn't want it as her main car sadly, so were looking at a Rapid as a compromise.

That's a real shame. When I bought my V50 in 2009 I really wanted an Octavia Scout. Ingram in Ayr and Deans of Dumfries both gave me a car for half a day but no matter what I found the seat uncomfy so reluctantly decided against the Scout.

Will you not have a similar problem with the Rapid?

The Volvo is far superior in comfort but little else.

Good luck with your search I would recommend a V40 discounts off list are quite good too. And as I have found the comfort of a Volvo is not overrated. Or a nearly new V50 now discontinued so should be good value.

Tried both a V40 and V60, the latter for a two day loan but they were not perfect either. Can however get comfy in both our Fabia's, hence looking at the Fabia derived Rapid; pedal box is about plumb centre which helps a lot and the seats, particularly sport are softly padded but supportive.

I quite liked the V60 (havent tried a V40 yet) but the electronic park brake which i am not a fan of anyway is in the most awkward position to the RHS almost underneath the steering wheel! Sensibly the V40 has a manual hand brake.

Nice car, great little workhorse for someone.

Shame you've had to let it go so early.

Does it have rain sensor / auto dim mirror?

No just the standard 'manual' set-up; left it off the options, as having had auto wipers I found they were not to my liking, plus I'd already blown the budget on other options
