Washer jet problems

Featured Replies

A big thumbs-up to Barmoor Skoda in Ryton (Tyne and Wear). The windscreen washer jets on my RS failed a couple of days ago, resulting in a pathetic dribble of water onto the screen, but emptying huge volumes of liquid under the car through the drain channels - one of the hoses leading to the jets had split.

Phoned up the garage on Friday morning (the 27th), they told me to bring it in and they'd have a look at it, and the mechanic fixed it right there while I waited.

Great service, especially since I had to drive back down to Leeds that day and needed the washers fixed as soon as possible.

David.

Glad you got it sorted, if anyone has problems with there rear washer not fuctioning in the winter, check that the joint coupling the pipework has not had the pipes forced off in freezing weather. Its located near the autochanger if fitted under the side panel carpet in the left hand rear.

Mine was left disconnected after the dealer carried out some work  but I was told by another dealership that sorted it, that it sometimes comes diconnected in freezing weather.
