Misfueling issue

Featured Replies

Hi

I filled my Diesel PD130 up the other day and hadnt got far from the garage when it started stalling and not holding its revs. It even chucked out a bit of blue smoke too. I KNOW I put the correct fuel in but I knew this seemed like a fueling problem. I got it home and drained the fuel tank and there was some nasty dirty crap in it. I refilled it with diesel, checked the ecu for faults and all good. I started her up and after a couple of minutes of running it was back to its old self. It been running fine as far as performance goes but it has stalled a couple of times when its been idling. It will start straight back up again no problem.

What I want to know is if you guys think this occasional stalling could just be the result of any little bits of the bad fuel still in the system or could it be more serious? Ive checked the ECU and no faults etc.

Any advice would be great ;)

Cheers

Cass
