new rapid, couple of questions

Featured Replies

Picked up my new rapid sport this afternoon (I'll post pics in my other thread).

Couple of questions:

I got an MDI interface cable from eBay but there only seems to be an aux and USB port, is there something I'm missing

Secondly, is the a way to change the maxi dot speedo from kph to mph?

Thanks

aux and USB sound right to me for the Rapid and the kph is fixed as theres no kph markings on the speedo, therefore needed if you go abroad. With the Yeti you could change it with a ross tech kit but only by telling the car it was Australian :giggle:

Not sure though the Rapid has that level of VCDS adjustment mind.

Oh nice car by the way

TP

I will check for it tomorrow, but I think I read in the manual instruction I can switch between kph and mph in the Maxidot.

Thanks mick.  I was wondering whether or not I was supposed to have a pport (like in the brochures) that sits in the glovebox and you plug the end thats in my ebay pictures in.  Looks like there is only an aux and USB port in there.

I wonder then if I have to get another cable (although the y cable that I had in my ceed and played through the aux seems to work OK).

I will check for it tomorrow, but I think I read in the manual instruction I can switch between kph and mph in the Maxidot.

Only if the car is non UK is that possible, if the car is UK then as part of its type approval is must display both KPH and MPH permanently,

Hi guys,

sorry for the delay but I was on vacation and forgot about it.

Anyway it looks like I was dreaming about have the choice to switch between kph and mph with the Maxidot.

Only kph is available for me.

I guess I was confused with fuel consumption :-p
