Tyre pressure things (vRS)

Featured Replies

The warning light come on for the tyre pressures on the way home tonight.  I stopped and looked at the tyres (no pressure gauge with me) but all looked ok so carried on.

I'll check the pressures later and top up if necessary.  I think it might be related to the outside temperature as the car has been sat in the office car park all day.

Anyone else had this warning light?  Anything else I should check?

The Skoda so-called true pressure monitor doesn't actually read the tyre pressure it works via the ABS to measure disparity in wheel rotation to detect low pressure. It's still better than no system at all of course.

Still wise to check when the tyres have cooled down of course and adjust to recommended pressures if necessary

It came on for me after about 1 week of owning - a little disconcerting at the time! As you said the tyres looked pumped up so I carried on home and checked them properly there. They were fine then so I eventually found the reset within the options on the Bolero and the warning hasn't gone off since, so not 100% sure what was wrong...

I've just checked them with a digital one at the fuel station and reset it, just wait and see if it happens again I suppose.

You'll be the one who was by the side of the M27 yesterday staring at tyres. I had a similar experience in mine a couple of weeks ago, but I did have a slow puncture that was repairable.

Yup, was just checking there wasn't a flat.  Junction 8 I think it was.
