No wonder the car handled like crap, they was the original wishbones from 2002! the bushes have the vw audi logo on them, with 02!

The ball joints what a joke, why couldn't vw use a pinch bolt set up, I had to angle grind both off! I will get a pic of the bushes later they near enough fell out ha.

They may not of been fitted in 2002 though , a lot of replacement parts could be manufactured way before fitting. But yeah if you don't know when last changed then they been on there a long time buddy.

Yep ball joints are a ball ache if very old. I soaked mine over night with penetrating fluid and seemed to work ok.

 

Mind you on my 4th set off wishbone bushes lol so the nut's/bolts are a little easier to come undone.

Ah yeah good point, I fitted lemformer arms and ball joints from ecp, just need some new tyres for the front now.

Get your geo checked buddy,  probably wait till you fit new tyres but your steering could be out as there are adjustment in the wishbone / balljoints.

 

Keep a eye on your tyre wear

Yeah going to get that done first, my front tyres are low and some of china's finest rubber ha, be glad to get something good on, just the stock 205 or go 225/45..
