Well I finally got a letter from Skoda advising me to have the Oil change done on the gear box.

They went to great lengths to say the service would be free and apologised for the 'situation' carefully avoiding the word 'fault' at every stage :yes:

 

Still, I've got it booked in for Tuesday and am pleased they contacted me especially as I don't use a main dealer.

Hmm, not many owners got letters. Most called to ask or were done during routine servicing or non-related warranty work. Would it be possible to post a copy of the letter here, with all the ID and reference numbers data edited out.

I asked about mine when it had it's 40000 mile service. All the ones they had done were early cars

Thanks for the comment, I love my car, wasn't too sure about the Yellow at first but now every time I clean it the wife has to tell me to stop admiring it as the neighbours are looking .sorry pic of letter is a bit small.
