Sorry for the pointless post, but just put the deposit down on a new Octavia vRS this weekend and I'm still in the 'teenage-boy' excitement stage.

 

Spec is Metal Grey, leather, heated front seats, heated screen, black pack & sunset glass, Canton and spare wheel.

 

First new car I've bought, just not looking forward to the long wait now. WIll be sad to see the Fab go. But hopeully the switch to petrol and a much larger car will be an easy transition.

 

Anybody know what the air-con in the Octavia 3 is like? I know it'll probably be December before I get it, but it'd be good to know that I can make it arctic if the weather does get like this again, my Fabia currently just takes the edge off but not the 'see your breath' temperature my English body is used to.

Love that colour now. Good spec as well.

Hope the wait is not too long

The climate control is excellent - LO/16.5c will see the car become icebox-like in less than ten minutes....

Nice spec. Very similar to mine. You'll love the seats and the Canton. I went from a Golf to the VRS so am loving the big car feel of the Octavia. 

 

Rumour has it that lead times are coming down, so hopefully you wont wait as long as I and many others did. 

 

Oh, and the AC is really good.

Cheers guys, hoping that the wait isn't too long. I can't deal with this excitement for too long, but I don't want to get bored waiting either.

 

Apparently Skoda were saying vRS's were around 12 weeks, but neither me nor the salesman believed it.

 

Canton was a hard choice, but in the end I thought it'd be nice to have the sub just to flesh out the lower frequencies. I'm not an audiophile by any means, but 99% of my music listening is in the car nowadays so decided to treat myself.

 

Hardest decision was Black or the Grey. Still not 100% sure I made the right choice, but I'm pretty sure once it arrives it'll be the best car in the world ever!™ regardless of anything

The excitment just grows, mine was built last week. I daren't call the dealer anymore for updates as they must be sick of me!

Nice choice, you have every right to be excited.

Don't worry about the colour, either is great.

As for aircon, it can easily hold it's own in this oppressive weather were experiencing so I'm happy!
