SUPER SUPER URGENT - FRONT WINDSCREEN WIPERS NOT WORKING

Featured Replies

I hope someone can help me.  We are due to go on a road-trip tomorrow....

Today I noticed that there was no power to either the front or rear 12v socket.  I checked the fuse and it was blown.

I went to get a new one and replaced it in the correct position without touching anything else.

This evening, I went on a short journey and noticed straight away that there was not power to the front windscreen wipers.  I checked the 20amp fuse and it looks fine.

I know the wipers were working before I changed the fuse for the 12v sockets.

I have tried the wipers without the replaced fuse.  No good.

I have checked all of the fuses on the same fuse box line as the wipers and they are all fine.

Does anyone have a suggestion. I've tried wiggling the wipers a little in case they were jammed.

Thanks

check the bonnet catch to make sure its not clogged on the contact, on mk1 fabias this was an issue causing wipers not to work correctly , worth a look

I had the no wipers problem once when I had failed to close my Fabia Mk 1's bonnet properly.

yup , as above, amke sure the bonnet is shut properly :)
