Expected phone call from dealer yesterday advising car was here and would ready in few days. No call so I phoned him to be told computer says car still in Germany but he's not sure! I was told it was being shipped from Germany on 7/7

Due to computer glitches he can't exactly tell where the car is; he will ring Skoda UK and will confirm exactly where car is within 24 hours.

Rang today after no call from him and the response I got was computer not saying anything and he will let me know in 48 hours when Skoda UK come back to him.

Anyone else have the same problem?

My car was built week 27 and I am still waiting. The sales guy emailed me on the 11th to say he was away for a week but on his return on Saturday he hope to have some good news for me. So far nothing. I emailed him on Monday and he hasn't responded. I was going to give him a call today.

I am going on holiday (driving to the lake district) in early August so it is getting a bit stressfull as to whether the car will arrive in time.

The dealer has just emailed me to say mine has now left the port of exit and is in transit. Still no idea on delivery date though!

Thanks Andrew. I have sent Skoda UK an email to see if I can speed things up once it gets to the UK. Fingers crossed!

It seems like such a long wait. Glad I didnt order a VRS as I think I would have gone mad by now!!!!!

I have just been told Skoda UK logistics don't know where my car is, the dealer will check with them again tomorrow.

Hopefully it will be on the same boat.

I spoke to John Good at SUK and he told me that my car is still in Emden (contrary to what the dealer told me!). John said it arrived on the 18th and has a 10 day window (for inspection for transit damage) to be delivered to Sheerness so should be there on the 28th (Monday). It then has to be checked again for damage etc. My dealer should have the car (baring any damage!) By the end of the week and they then have 3 and a half days to Pdi the car apply and apply the paint protection I ordered.

I am going on holiday on the 9th/10th (havent decided which day to travel yet) up to the Lake District so it will be tight!!!!

Not sure why the dealer told me that it had left the port of exit?

Anyway boat this weekend then. Cant wait now!

Dealer phoned to say car has been traced. It is still sitting at Emden docks where it has been since 7/7. It has now been 'highlighted' as a priority. He is unable to give any delivery date at the moment. He will update me next Friday.

Update: Dealer emailed yesterday to say car is now on route from Grimsby and he should have it tomorrow and it will be able to collect Tuesday or Wednesday.

Hi Andrew. Mine arrived at the dealers yesterday and I picked it up last night.

Even though its only been 10 impatient weeks it has been worth the wait!

Update: emailed dealer to confirm ok to collect car on Wednesday. He replied your car is still not delivered and he would phone when it is received. Very disappointed and patience running out!

It has arrived, been driving now for 2 weeks and I love it, well worth the wait!

I have just returned from my holiday. Mine now has 1800 miles on her in 3 weeks! Booked in for its 1000 mile check on the 2nd September!

Need to get out and wash her tomorrow as 2 weeks with 3 teenagers and a dog plus the wife has made my octavia a little grubby ;-)

The dock driver wasn't quite fast enough...

 

I was told that my car will be checked by the dealer at 1000 miles just to torque things up and check for rattles etc. There are none so all seems greatb with my Octavia :-)
