please help .. I'm looking to swap me focus est for a octavia 2.0tdi .... but reading honest John !!! He goes on. About issue with oil something causing engine to seize and brake .... is this true ... Anyone heard or had any of these problems .. Thanks

This issue never affected the 2.0 Diesel engines fitted to the Octavia. Only on the variants fitted to early Superbs and some VW and Audi models. 

You could always get a 1.9TDI instead

Nothing to worry about with the 2.0TDI in the Octavia, I run one for 99K miles with nothing going wrong.
