ko4 turbo upgrade advice and help needed please

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm looking at upgrading to ko4 turbo and need to know 2 things..

1 - what parts do I need?

From what I can make out so far I need ko4 turbo, manifold, downpipe, 3' maf (is this cupra r, s3, tt mad??),

And then the obvious mapping at the end.

And secondly - what modifications if any are needed to make this happen?

Thanks in advance

It's not really worth it my freind been there and done it I'd just get your ko3s hybrid and have a play with that

775 quid just for the turbo...... can't be doing that any time soon lol

Look for a company called beach buggy turbos, they do a ko3s hybrid which is capable of about 350 maybe more. They havnt been able to fully test how much power one of these can make yet

K300 is good for 300 safe not 350 as above

Yeah they are 775 quid.! That's what I mean lol. I've looked at them.

Ko4 can be done including mapping for the price of a hybrid unit alone lol

You need

Turbo

Turbo lines

Down pipe

Maf

Tip

Injectors

Mannifold

Top turbo to intercooler pipe

Turbo bracket

You will also need a bung to put in the egt port as we don't have that

Mapping

You will see a true 260 to 270

More if you run a high flow manni etc

Actually not that cheap when you consider you will also need

Gaskets

Oil oil filter

Coolant washer possible banjo bolts

Mannifold to turbo bolts

I would be happy with 260-270.. 280 would be nice! :)

I'm having my intercooler pipes made up custom by my mate in stainless (he works for custom exhaust place)..

Any modifications needed to bolt it up?

Anything in the way I would need to move or bend ect?

I have a welly cooler and the pipe work will be made up for me

No pretty much all bolt on dude

Get you mate to make the down pipe that will see the higher 270+ with decat and welly cooler etc

Add a relentless pro 4 manni and sfs oversized tip has seen high 280+

It's still gonna cost a lot what ever way you do it
