Another silly question. I've been asked if my 1.4 Octavia with DSG also has a torque converter. I thought the DSG replaced theTC. (VW trucks have a Torque converter)

The DSG does not have a Torque Converter,  they are 7 speed Twin Dry Clutch gearboxes and Automated Manuals.

Thanks. That's what I thought, but the person who asked me is an engineer so I began to think maybe he was right.
