I'm new in the forum so I would like to say hello. Since 2000 August, I drive Skoda Felicia 1.6 GLXI . My older car was a Renault 9 . To make a comparison , Skoda is much better ,I think. Although I have faced some problems I am generally happy with the performance of the engine. But in Turkey ; the oil prices are very high so I intend to change my Skoda, with Skoda Fabia 1.2 HTP. But I am not sure whether I will be satisfied with the performance of such an engine. Would anybody make comment on that?

Hi and welcome, 1.2 12v is a fantastic engine for its size and size of the car... touch wood no problems as yet with it, and performance is great, have been round the country with it.

The Fabia 1.2 is certainly a nice little engine - will be only a little bit more economical than the Felicia though imo...

Also to add, the 1.2 is a real hoot to drive with the sound of its 3 cyclinder engine, however don't expect similar performance to your Felicia...

Hello and welcome. Wouldn't think a Renault 9 is comparable with a Felicia though.
