Need help please..i want to change the starter motor in my car 07 octy petrol..is there much stripping involved to get at it?? Any help appreciated tia

It's not difficult, but the air cleaner has to come out.

The air box is on top of the engine im wondering about the coolant pipes etc do they have to be disconnected? Would it be easier to take off the engine tray and tackle it from underneath?

I'm assuming it's the BUD engine...

You need to replace the self locking nuts.

Disconnect earth strap before starting.

Torque:

Holder/clip 23Nm

M12 bolt 80Nm

M10 bolt 40Nm

Earth strap 20Nm

+ve starter connection 20Nm UNLESS it looks like copper in which case it's 16Nm.
