Featured Replies

Parked the car up this morning (after fair bit of rain last nite) and few hours later battery was dead. Central locking from drivers door not working now. was thinking water ingress in door AGAIN!!

In fault codes says "data bus comfort system" which I've not seen before - any suggestions there???

hope you can see the thumbnail pics...

Just while I'm in the midst of another leaky door/corroding wires/wet control module thread thought I'd ask...has anyone who's had and sorted this problem found a good way of sealing up the door and all other bits that get damp and cause problems, after all your hard work??

Think this is my 3rd time at the drivers door and had to change 2 rear door locks aswel. it's a pain in the azz especially when there's plenty more jobs I could be tackling on the car instead of this again

I tried covering the connectors in vaseline which is similar to what we do in work with the wires on the underground sprinkler systems (golf course)

Hopefully the answer is out there!

You really need to use a good quality dielectric grease if you can that seals but does not conduct through the grease itself.

Did cross my mind but didn't buy any so will pay more attention to it this time!

Thanks
