How do you post pictures

Featured Replies

As it says, how do you post pictures on Briskoda, a method for computer numptie simpletons PLEASE,

Hopefully this tutorial will help. If not, please tell me what you don't understand and I'll improve it.

one thing that confused me is that when I attacthed a file, all went well and it listed itself in attachments. I then clicked preview, but it didnt show up in the preview post. So if you make the attatchment show up in previews, then it would be good and would confuse people less  p.s if ive confused you, dont worry :P

The other question is how do some people post large pictures in their threads yet when I post mine the pic is at the bottom of the post as a small attachment?

Thats when you link the image. Some people have their own source of hosting and just add the image in.

Thanks Nick

I will experiment tomorrow with my Merc Piccies !!

On a sort of related subject, it has been suggested that the excellent diagram of a Fabia fusebox in another thread be added to the FAQs. However the diagram is in .doc format which cannot be inserted like an image. Nor does changing it to PDF format help. Is there a solution?

You can't make images in Word - if it has images in it, they're embedded and can be extracted by right-clicking them and copy/pasting them somewhere else. You could use MSPaint to save them as JPGs. The text can be copied and pasted into the article and the images linked back in in the relevant place. If you aren't following this, send me the document and I'll put it in FAQ if I have the right access, or split it up into bits and send it you back if I don't.

The document is in this thread, Nick. The image in it will need linking to the key below it to be of any use in a FAQ.

Seems I no longer have Mambo access so here's the pic. The key can just be cut and pasted as text.
