dsg slip? hesitation

Featured Replies

So just been out in my pre fl vrs tdi and around 3500-3750 rpm on power there was like a miss? Would have thought the traction cut in but ground dry and no light.happened several times over the journey all the Same rpm. Acts like a slipping clutch quite a severe miss then keeps pulling. Mechanic by trade but dsg is all very new to me.

My dsg started acting weird like that. Even on cruise control it would do it as soon as it needed a bit more power to get up a hill. I could see the revs increase as well with no speed increase. In the end I booked it in at skoda and it cost me 770 quid for a new clutch pack and that was with 10 per cent discount

My first port of call would be to change the oil and filter after I had scanned it with vag com, when draining the oil do it into a clean container and the examine the oil. If the oil is excessively contaminated this may indicate a worn clutch pack. However it may be low on oil or the mechatronics unit might be on the way out. I think there is a company that repairs them, look at the link below.

Hope this helps
