Anyone tried these BMW 5.25 - 6x9 Speaker Adaptors?

Featured Replies

Just looking to get a bit more meat into my audio I want to try 6x9s in the back instead of the 5.25" I have in my L&K hatchback.

Thought about cutting or buying MDF adaptors but then I found some 5.25 -> 6x9 adaptors which look simple, cheap and made for the job. This listing has the best pics but other listings sell them for £7.48 delivered

Looks like I'd need to shave off a bit of material to get them past the seatbelt reels, has anyone had a go using these before?

Cheers

The adaptors are good. Used them in my e36. Just trying to think about the space in the Octavia, I'm not sure you'll get them in properly?

I don't see those being of any use in the Octavia.

They would be only as good as the space to fit them. As it looks like those are needed to help space out the speaker in the front door, you are talking about the rear then there is no space to fit those adapters , certainly on the rear corner shelf s..

The adaptors are normally fitted to the rear shelf of the e36s.

I just don't think there would be enough room in the Octavia.
